About Us

NewcastleGateshead Initiative is the destination marketing agency for Newcastle and Gateshead - which essentially means we're the official promoters of the city as a place to live, work, learn and visit.

Set up in 2000 by our two local councils, we are a publicly and privately funded company who works with over 165 local organisations to raise the profile of NewcastleGateshead nationally and internationally.

We operate as a not-for-profit business, and as such we can promise we will reinvest any money we generate from this online shop, or any other venture, into promoting the area we are all so passionate about.
